The Atlanta Police Foundation is gearing up for its sixth annual Atlanta's Finest 5K Race!  The support for Atlanta's Finest and the Atlanta Police Department has been nothing short of amazing over the past 5 years.  In its first year, Atlanta's Finest became the Atlanta Track Club's 4th largest race with over 1,000 runners in attendance, including the lead-off runners Mayor Shirley Franklin and Chief Richard Pennington!  Since the launch of Atlanta's Finest, the race has continued to grow and we are anticipating over 1,200 runners this year.  The race includes a fun 1K race for kids and is a great opportunity to introduce children to the importance of the work performed by our police officers.

Atlanta's Finest 5K is a great way for the whole community to support the Atlanta Police Foundation in its vision of Atlanta as a safe city that is good for people, good for business and good for life.

A portion of the proceeds raised from the race will be awarded to units of the Atlanta Police Department.  Mini-grants are given to the three units that have the highest percentage of officers participate.
