Public safety is crucial to Atlanta’s economic and social vitality, but how does the City of Atlanta ensure that safety?
The most effective way is to implement strategies that support these priorities:
- Increasing police visibility and effectiveness
- Leading the region’s public safety efforts by mobilizing community partnerships and “best practices” to reduce crime and improve emergency preparedness
- Securing additional resources to fight crime
With that in mind, the APF has identified specific strategies to improve police effectiveness and engage the community in making Atlanta a safer city. The Mayor, Atlanta City Council and the leadership of the Atlanta Police Department support these plans.
Now, APF must secure the necessary strategic resources required to take action.
With your support of the $7 million Public Safety First campaign, APF can move forward in helping the City fight crime and ensure the safety of all of us.
“We can not afford to make public safety anything less than a top priority. Government has no greater responsibility than to keep its citizens safe.”
The Honorable Kasim Reed
Mayor, City of Atlanta
