Impact
Strengthening public accountability and trust in the justice system.
Oversight
Monitoring court proceedings to support fair and transparent judicial processes.

Court Watch is a citizen volunteer program that helps monitor court activity and case outcomes related to repeat offenders in Atlanta.
The program gives trained community volunteers a structured way to observe court proceedings, track case activity, and help bring greater visibility to how repeat offender cases move through the judicial system.
When court activity and case outcomes are easier to track and understand, public safety leaders and community stakeholders can better identify patterns, spot gaps, and support more informed discussions around accountability and public safety.
Court Watch helps strengthen:
- Transparency in the judicial process
- Accountability around repeat offender case outcomes
- Visibility into court activity and trends
- More informed public safety discussions
- Stronger community engagement in public safety
- Safer communities
Court Watch reflects APF’s commitment to practical, community-supported strategies that strengthen accountability and help improve public safety across Atlanta.
