Operation Shield
Operation Shield is a citywide, public‑private camera network with more than 20,000 cameras across Atlanta. Integrated with APD’s Video Surveillance Center, the program helps officers respond more quickly and effectively—while most of the cost is covered through private‑sector support.

Connect Atlanta
Connect Atlanta lets residents and businesses choose to register their security cameras with APD. With the owner’s permission, video can be shared during investigations, helping police solve crimes while respecting privacy and avoiding expanded government surveillance.

Connect Radio provides participating businesses with direct access to E-911 dispatch and enables private security teams to coordinate in real time with APD. This improves situational awareness, speeds response times, and strengthens public-private collaboration during emergencies.
