(March. 10, 2025) – The Atlanta Police Foundation (APF) has been recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of the top nonprofit organizations in the city, ranking #21 in the publication’s Feb. 7, 2025, Nonprofit Organizations listing based on 2023 gross revenue. This distinction asserts APF’s unwavering commitment to raising funds for public safety initiatives that make Atlanta a safer place to live, work, and visit.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle’s annual ranking includes public charities and grant-making organizations that have demonstrated significant financial impact in their respective fields. APF’s inclusion on this list highlights the generosity of donors and corporate partners who continue to invest in officer support programs, youth development programs, and safety infrastructure benefiting the city like the new Public Safety Training Center.
A major driver of APF’s success has been its robust calendar of fundraising events, which serve as both awareness campaigns and key revenue sources. Events such as Link Up Against Crime, Blue Jean Ball, @Promise Field Day, Atlanta’s Finest 5K, Crime is Toast, and A Night in Blue have played a pivotal role in securing critical funds from individuals and businesses passionate about public safety. These events not only bring the community together but also directly support essential law enforcement initiatives, including the Secure Neighborhoods program, Unity Place, Crime Stoppers, and the @Promise Youth & Community Centers.
“The recognition from the Atlanta Business Chronicle is a testament to the commitment of our donors and community partners,” said Dave Wilkinson, President & CEO of APF. “Every dollar raised goes directly toward creating a safer Atlanta through officer support, youth intervention programs, and cutting-edge crime prevention technology.”
As APF continues its mission to make Atlanta the safest large city in America, the foundation remains dedicated to expanding its impact through strategic partnerships and continued philanthropic support. Donors who want to contribute to a safer Atlanta are encouraged to participate in upcoming fundraising events and initiatives.
