ATLANTA, GA – More than 1,200 runners alongside Atlanta Police officers, firefighters, youth athletes, corporate teams, and public safety supporters will take over the streets of downtown Atlanta on Saturday, Aug. 16, for the return of Atlanta’s Finest 5K.
Hosted by the Atlanta Police Foundation in partnership with the Atlanta Track Club, this annual fundraiser benefits vital public safety programs, including Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta, which empowers citizens to submit anonymous tips and earn rewards of up to $5,000 for information leading to arrests.
From up-close encounters with the Atlanta Police Department’s SWAT team, Phoenix One helicopter, and Mounted Patrol, participants will get a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the people and equipment that keep the city safe.
