(June 23, 2025) — The Atlanta Police Foundation (APF) continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of public safety in Atlanta, convening the second-quarter meeting of the Atlanta Security Council, an exclusive strategy session that brought together the city’s top law enforcement officials and corporate security leaders.
Chaired by APF President and CEO Dave Wilkinson, the Council is a cornerstone of the Foundation’s broader mission to coordinate, strengthen and modernize Atlanta’s public safety infrastructure. This strategic gathering reflects APF’s central role in uniting law enforcement and corporate partners around proactive, data-driven solutions.

Confirmed speakers included leadership from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, MARTA Police, DeKalb County Police Department, the Atlanta Police Department and more, each offering insights on emerging threats and the operational steps being taken to address them in lockstep.
“This meeting is where real strategy happens,” said Wilkinson. “Our role at APF is to bring the right people to the table, build consensus, and make sure the resources are in place to act with precision. We’re not behind the scenes, we’re at the center.”
