The Repeat Offender Initiative focuses on the small number of individuals responsible for a disproportionate share of crime in Atlanta.
By using data, accountability, and cross-system coordination, the initiative helps focus attention and resources where they can have the greatest impact on public safety.
This is more than a crime strategy. It is a public safety and accountability strategy.
Repeat offending remains one of the most persistent public safety challenges in Atlanta. When the right information is not shared across the justice system, it becomes harder to respond effectively and hold repeat offenders accountable.
APF helps strengthen this work by supporting a more coordinated, data-driven approach that improves visibility, strengthens accountability, and helps public safety partners make more informed decisions.
By focusing on repeat offenders, this initiative supports:
- Lower crime
- Stronger accountability
- Better coordination across the justice system
- Smarter use of public safety resources
- More informed decision-making
- Safer communities
The Repeat Offender Initiative reflects APF’s broader commitment to helping make Atlanta the safest large city in America through practical, targeted, and collaborative public safety solutions.
Your support helps APF invest in strategies that improve accountability, reduce crime, and help make Atlanta safer.
